How about spending a fun filled evening soaking in the sunset views whilst cruising on water? Sounds dreamy right? I have got news for you fellow Mumbaikars, Thane has gotten its first ever floating cruise that provides a great sailing and dining experience.
When it comes to activities in Mumbai, apart from the usual stuff there aren’t many that come to one’s mind. So when we discovered the cruising & dining experience, right in the city itself, we fell head over heels in love with the whole experience. The one hour cruise experience is a treat for every person and you must experience it!

The Cabo Cruise

The Gaimukh Promenade

Where is the C Cruise located?

Located approx. 30 kms from Mumbai, the C Cruise is located at Thane’s very own Chowpaty – Gaimukh. The promenade is very known amongst Thanekars to spend a fun filled evening watching the sun set into the mountains.

Directions to reach The C Cruise

From Borivali : Stay on the path of Ghodbunder road, once you cross fountain, it will take another 15 -20 mins to reach the place.
From Thane City : Once you reach Gaimukh, take the big U turn that’s opposite to Gaimukh. If you miss this U turn then you will end up driving all the way to Fountain hotel and then you will get to take a U turn. This will be very time consuming.

The C Cruise Experience

The Upper Deck

The voyage begins with the cruise boat arriving at the promenade. Its a 2 deck boat that can easily accommodate 100 people. Upon embarking the boat, I felt this gush of wind on my face. With 360 degree open views of the creek and the mountain, the view is surreal. The deck is spacious and the boat has been modified tastefully to provide comfort. The organizers have thoughtfully made seating arrangements for a large group and couples alike. The center of the upper deck provides seating for a larger group while the corners of the boat have cute 2- seaters for couples.
The upper deck also has a shimmery center stage that provides a perfect set up for those Instagram pictures. The kitchenette is also located on the upper deck where the chef dishes out fresh food to relish.

The Lower Deck

Down a short flight of stairs, one arrives at the lower deck. One can watch the boat making ripples in the water and its the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset. There is an open deck area perfect for those Titanic poses 🙂
The highlight of the lower deck is a transparent glass bottom square that allows you to watch the waves. Have a wonderful scenic experience cruising through the waters.

All in all I had a great time watching the sunset into the mountains and the boat cruising through the green waters of Thane Creek. It was nice to have some time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Disclaimer: I would like to thank The C Cruise for generously sponsoring the experience in exchange for this honest review. As always, you are getting my sincere and candid opinions.
